Charles-André Raux Yao

C. Raux Yao is his side’s Bronze Engine in midfield. No trophies on the shelf yet and his story is right at the opening chapter. Tagged as a hybrid engine/impact profile, he looks like the type who comes on to lift the tempo and add legs between the boxes when the match needs fresh running.

This season is all about small samples and hints rather than firm conclusions. Twelve outings and 341 minutes point to mostly short cameos rather than long stints. The last five matches show no goals and no assists, with his form graph leaning towards a quiet spell as he searches for rhythm. An emerging reliability band underlines that the body of work is still being built. His stable season ability and his form are not wildly apart, so we are not looking at a huge slump or a blazing hot streak, more a player ticking along without a real breakout.

For this Engine profile, the big question is opportunity and trust. More minutes, more touches and more responsibility will reveal what kind of midfielder he really is. For now he looks like a role player, but one good run of form could turn him into a genuine rotation option in the middle.
