A Bavarian Siege Overwhelms Bodo/Glimt
Worth Watching Futmetrix Score: 57/100. A relentless second-half barrage transformed a resilient away display into a punishing European reality check at the Allianz Arena.
The Stalemate Breaks
Bodo/Glimt held their own throughout a tense first half, surviving wave after wave of pressure. Bayern München dominated possession (66%) and laid down an attacking siege from the opening whistle, but the visitors dug incredibly deep. It took until the 47th minute for Jamal Musiala to finally pick the lock, finishing off an intricate feed from Harry Kane. The sheer Intensity of the hosts' approach finally wore the Norwegians down, turning the pristine Allianz Arena pitch into a relentless shooting gallery. Bodo/Glimt found themselves entirely suffocated in their own half, incapable of mounting any meaningful counter-attacks.
The Olise Show
Once that stubborn defensive dam broke, the contest's Balance evaporated entirely, leaving the visitors totally exposed. Michael Olise took absolute control of the match, dictating the tempo and setting up Kane to double the advantage just past the hour mark. Bodo/Glimt's structural discipline completely collapsed under the sheer volume of 25 total Bavarian shots, 11 of which tested the keeper. Alphonso Davies marched forward to add a third in the 77th minute, effectively killing any remaining hope for the away side. This initiated a brutal late-game goal flurry that showcased the massive gulf in quality between the two squads on this European stage.
A Brutal Finale
The final fifteen minutes were an absolute exercise in punishment. Substitute Lennart Karl arrived off the bench with immediate impact, setting up Olise's first blistering strike in the 83rd minute. Things rapidly descended from bad to worse for the battered visitors when Odin Luras Bjortuft saw a straight red card in the 87th minute, leaving his weary teammates to defend short-handed. Against ten men, Olise gleefully completed his hero's brace deep into stoppage time. The staggering 5-0 final scoreline served as a stern reminder of the ruthless continental hierarchy, proving that Bayern remains a terrifying prospect for any traveling defence.

Bayern Kick Off UCL Campaign as Heavy Favorites
Skip It Futmetrix Score: 25/100. A heavily lopsided encounter where anything other than a commanding home victory would be a monumental shock.
The Setup
The UEFA Champions League league stage gets underway on September 10, 2026, with Bayern München welcoming Bodo/Glimt to the Allianz Arena. With a new format demanding points to secure a top-eight direct qualification spot, the German giants will want to lay down a marker early. The Balance of this fixture is heavily skewed, with the home side heavily favored to dominate proceedings. However, the Norwegian visitors bring their own attacking threat, boasting a respectable Form fueled by creative outputs from Jens Petter Hauge. The Stakes might feel modest on matchday one, but the Stars on display, particularly M. Olise and J. Musiala, ensure there will be plenty of quality on the pitch.
Key Battle
The defining tactical clash will take place between Bayern's dominant, ball-playing midfield and the organized defensive structure of the visitors. Bodo/Glimt will have to absorb immense pressure and rely on rapid transitions to expose any gaps left by the hosts' advancing lines.
Our Prediction
Bayern München should dictate the tempo from the first whistle. Expect them to break down the Norwegian defense steadily, leading to a comfortable multi-goal victory where Bodo/Glimt might only manage a consolation strike on the counter.
