Dave Romney

David Romney is SJ Earthquakes's Bronze utility presence. The 33-year-old American has built a robust domestic career spanning over a decade, representing the likes of LA Galaxy and Nashville. As an emerging option this term, he provides essential tactical flexibility for the squad.

Operating as a versatile contributor, Romney's workload is underscored by his Silver tank trait, making him a resilient physical option when called upon. Searching for rhythm after limited action, he has logged 344 minutes across seven appearances this campaign. Our verdict points to a player managing a quiet spell in form, focusing on solidity rather than attacking returns. With zero goals and assists in his last five outings, his value lies not in headlines, but in his ability to offer reliable cover and adapt to the team's shifting needs during an arduous season.

With a market valuation hovering around €1M, Romney’s stock is experiencing a downward trend. Despite this, veteran defensive cover remains a premium commodity in a grueling league setup, making his continued readiness crucial for squad depth.
