Gideon Jung

Gideon Jung is Kayserispor’s Bronze Squad Player profile, a seasoned tower at the back. Born in Düsseldorf with German and Ghanaian roots, he brings the experience of two UEFA U21 Championship titles into a new chapter in Turkey. His role is clear: deepen the squad, step in when called, and give coaches a reliable professional presence.

This season is more about building a body of work than headline numbers. Just 305 minutes spread across 4 appearances mean the picture is still incomplete, and his “emerging” reliability band underlines the small sample. Limited involvement on the ball – around 32 touches and 26 passes per 90 – feeds into a GHOST badge profile: hard to spot across a full campaign, but not irrelevant. An overall rating of 21 and season ability at 29 mark him out as a depth option, while a form score in the low 50s paints a picture of steady, if unspectacular, contribution. The standout trait is his Workrate: a willingness to do the running and dirty work that allows more glamorous team-mates to shine.

The stakes for Jung lie in turning anonymity into value. With a listed market value of €0M and a stable trend, he operates as a low-risk squad piece. That gives him freedom from transfer noise and a chance to find his Balance in crunch matches without the glare of big-fee expectations.
