Soungoutou Magassa is West Ham’s Silver Wall, a defensive specialist signed to bring continental composure to the London Stadium. The 23-year-old Frenchman arrived from Monaco with a reputation for elite physical presence, having already tasted silverware in his career. Standing at 1.90m, he provides the authority necessary to navigate the physical demands of English football while building his body of work.
Magassa has proven his reliability through 15 appearances and 757 minutes of action. He has established himself as a premier ENFORCER and INTERCEPTOR, with a Defense rating of 82 serving as the cornerstone of his game. While he searches for rhythm during a quiet spell in form, his underlying numbers in tackles and ball recovery remain impressive. An Intensity score of 75 reflects a player who thrives in the heart of the action, providing much-needed Balance to the side.
Valued at €17M and on a rising trajectory, Magassa is a significant defensive asset. As West Ham navigates a period of transition, his ability to win individual duels remains vital for the squad's long-term stability in high-Stakes matches.
